Our Vision

"Mazmichim" , winner of the Knesset Speaker's Award for Quality of Life, was established in 2004 to provide a solution to the problem of violence in schools in Israel, among other things through applicable tools to increase the sense of belonging and reduce alienation in students' lives. Out of years of fieldwork in the educational field, "Matzmichim" has developed The home port program (NAMAL) - an innovative leadership program that aims to create change agents from the student community.
The students selected for the program have the ability to bridge conflict situations, cool conflicts and increase the sense of belonging and security of those around them. The inter-sectoral cooperation of "uplifting students" from around the country is intended to create a unifying leadership reserve for Israel.
The home port program (NAMAL) is based on the term "Shared Society" which refers to a society in which all individuals have the same status and mutual responsibility, are free to express their differences and integrate their voice in the wider population.

"Despite the challenges posed by the new and emerging Israeli social landscape, we must know: the nascent Israeli mosaic is not a decree, but a great opportunity filled with cultural richness, inspiration, humanity, and sensitivity.

The new Israeli order must not decline us into segregation and separation."

– President Rivlin
